Everyone who follows my tweets from twitter or my webpage, is aware that I’m in Slovenia at the moment.
This morning I checked in my luggage without any problems. I received instructions about my boarding schedule and what time I had to be present at the gate.

I don’t know what was up with the airplane but it was delayed for half an hour. Besides that, I didn’t have any other delays or problems. Next we entered a small bus to go to our airplane. When we arrived at the airplane, well, it looked like a private jet. Kinda small though.
I think the flight was about 2 hours and close to our destination I saw these nice mountains. I like the window view.

After we landed, we were transferred to the airport by bus again. 5 minutes later we could pick up our luggage and it was time to go our hotel. Nikki picked a nice Mercedes cab which was parked all the way in the front. I informed about the price and it seems not too expensive.

The ride to our hotel took about 15 minutes. When we checked in at the hotel, we were asked which climbing team we were. Every climbing team made reservations in this hotel. I like the sound of that!

I dropped my luggage in my room. It was time to explore Kranj. It isn’t big as you can see in the photos below.
In the evening we went to a pizza restaurant. It was right across our hotel about 500 meters. Our dinner was delicious!

When we returned at the hotel we received our start numbers and timetable. I don’t know what time Elko and Nikki will get up and if we are going to have breakfast together. I just want to have enough time tomorrow when I’m in the climbing gym to warm up. I think I need at least 1,5 hours to warm up proper and prepare the route. I have to get up early anyway because I’m number 9 in the start list.
Anyway, I’ll figure it out tomorrow. It’s time to get some rest.
Busy times! Last week I was leading a full programme.
At the moment I’m packing my luggage for the Worldcup event at Slovenia which will take place come weekend. That’s right, I just returned 2,5 weeks ago from Slovenia where I have so many good climbing memories. This weekend will be the last event of the Lead Worldcup. I’m so looking forward to it!

The Dutch team is well motivated and ready to climb. We are going to rock this world. Austria, here we come!
Lately I have been busy with team training, climbing at different climbing gyms, work and other hobbies. My schedule seems quite busy. I noticed that I haven’t been climbing outdoors much this year. It’s time to change that fact.
My journey is already planned on this map. I just need to make it happen!

Come weekend will be very excited.
If we talk about Worldcups, then soccer will be the main topic. Netherlands – Spain! Sunday they’ll start playing at 8.30 PM local time. Go Holland yeah! Unfortunately I can’t support our team from The Netherlands, however I will support them from France.
Sunday I’ll fly to Geneve to go to Chamonix. My first Lead Worldcup is about to start on Monday. Furthermore Nikki van Bergen (f), Elko Schellingerhout and Jorg Verhoeven are also on the startlist.
Monday I’ll climb the qualification routes between 8.30h and 14.00h. In addition there is livestream available so you’re able to follow all of us. I’m so looking forward to it. Just a few more days to go!!
