Saturday 9th of October my holiday finally started and left The Netherlands.

My destination is Trieste at Italy. My flight departured at 18.45h at Weeze, Germany.

I flew with this small airplane. I think it could fit about 200 passengers. After I entered the airplane, I felt psyched about climbing routes. A few days ago I received a topo from Slovenia. The rocks looks so inviting and cool.

1,5 hours later, Matjaz and Eline picked me up from the airport. They’re doing well and fortunately they have plenty of time. We went to Piran, it’s the place where I’ll be staying for a while.

In the evening I explored Piran with Matjaz and Eline. It’s a small town near the coast. The alley’s are pretty small and very colourful. I expected to see people on Saturday evening, but we didn’t see anyone around. You can explore this town in half an hour. Probably there is a lot more to see during the day. For now it’s nice to have a walk. Below you’ll see a few photos from Piran at night.

Tomorrow I’d like to visit Mišja Peč. I heard so many stories about the rocks, I just need to see it with my own eyes. It’s time to get some rest so I can climb tomorrow!
